Apercu general
Nayarit is the Mexican Pacific's best-kept secret. The Riviera Nayarit offers 300 km of coastline with surfing beaches in Sayulita, spectacular sunsets in San Pancho, the mysterious Marietas Islands with their Hidden Beach, and luxury resorts in Punta de Mita. Unlike other beach destinations, Nayarit maintains a relaxed, bohemian, and authentic vibe. The state also hosts the Huichol (Wixarika) culture, one of Mexico's most fascinating with their beadwork art and peyote traditions. December to March is humpback whale season in Banderas Bay.
