🇲🇽How to get there from Mexico
Flight options from Mexico's biggest cities to the venue
Dallas is one of the most accessible destinations from Mexico. Multiple direct daily flights from CDMX, Monterrey and Guadalajara — actually one of the busiest routes.
💡 CDMX-DFW direct, 6-8 daily flights. VivaAerobus is cheapest.
💡 Monterrey is only 2h away by flight. The cheapest and fastest route from northern Mexico.
💡 GDL-DFW direct multiple times daily. Volaris often has lowest prices when booked early.
If driving from Monterrey (~12h via Nuevo Laredo/Laredo), consider SENTRI/Ready Lane at the bridge for faster crossing. I-35 toll is $1.
🛬How to get there from the airport
Compare transport options from each airport to the stadium
Dallas Fort Worth Intl. (DFW)
Main airport. American Airlines hub. 20 min from stadium by Uber without traffic.
Uber / Lyft
Most practical. Surge pricing on match days — book ahead.
💡 Official Uber/Lyft zones at each DFW terminal (Terminal A lower level).
DART Orange Line + TRE
DART Orange Line light rail from airport to downtown Dallas, then TRE to Centreport + match day shuttle.
💡 Cheap but slow. Not recommended with large luggage.
Car rental
Texas is car country. For Fort Worth, Six Flags or nearby towns, rent. Gas ~$3/gal.
💡 Need Mexican license + passport + credit card with available credit. Mexican SKY TAG doesn't work in US.
🚗Getting around the city
Options to get around, color-coded by safety level
Uber / Lyft
Main way to get around. DFW metroplex is huge and public transit is limited.
💡 For 5+ stops/day, rent a car — cheaper than multiple Ubers.
DART Light Rail
Light rail connecting DFW Airport, downtown, Deep Ellum, Uptown. Safe and clean. Does NOT reach Arlington.
💡 Good for moving IN Dallas. For Arlington stadium, you need Uber.
Walking (Uptown/Deep Ellum only)
Dallas is NOT walkable except in Uptown, Deep Ellum, Bishop Arts. Long distances and extreme summer heat.
💡 Only use in specific neighborhoods with A/C nearby.
🗺️Zones: where to walk, what to avoid
Neighborhood-by-neighborhood advice. Green = safe, yellow = caution, red = avoid
Uptown, Deep Ellum, Bishop Arts, Plano, Frisco
Safe day and night. Uptown for nightlife, Deep Ellum for arts, Bishop Arts for food. Plano and Frisco are safe suburbs up north.
💡 Uptown is the best base — bars, restaurants, easy Uber to stadium.
Downtown Dallas at night, West End
Safe by day with visible police. At night downtown empties — take Uber. Dealey Plaza (JFK) by day.
💡 Visit JFK assassination site by day combined with the Sixth Floor Museum.
South Dallas and Pleasant Grove
High crime areas with no tourist value. No reason to visit as a tourist.
💱Currency exchange (USD, EUR and more)
Where to exchange your foreign money with good rates and safety
Exchange MXN to USD before traveling (Mexico has better rates). In Dallas, BBVA and Bank of America have big presence with international-card ATMs.
Bank of America / Wells Fargo / Chase
ATMs across metroplex
🕒 24/7
Mexican cards work with $3-5 fee per withdrawal. Use inside branches to avoid skimmers.
Travelex (DFW aeropuerto)
Terminal D DFW
🕒 6am-11pm
DECENT rates (better than many airports). Use for initial cash.
ATMs de aeropuerto no bancarios
DFW, Love Field
🕒 24/7
Avoid — $6-8 fees per withdrawal PLUS bad exchange rate. Look for bank ATMs.
